The Armed Man - with Karl Jenkins

An Irish first - The Armed Man conducted by its composer, Karl Jenkins!

As part of their 2011 Signature Series, the RTE Concert Orchestra are bringing The Armed Man back to Galway - this time with the composer of the piece, Karl Jenkins, at the helm. We in the Galway Baroque Singers are were delighted to accept the invitation to take part in the performance.

The choir last performed the piece in 2009, where it proved to be a big hit with audiences in Galway and Dublin.

The programme is composed entirely of Karl Jenkins' music - in addition to "The Armed Man", his "Te Deum" and "Palladio" are also featured.

Tickets, priced €20, are available from Charlie Byrne's bookshop, on Middle St.
