30th Anniversary Performance - Handel's Messiah
Saturday, 17 August 2013 00:00

This being our 30th anniversary year, Galway Baroque Singers plan to mark the event in style!

As Handel's Messiah was our first ever performance in December 1983, we plan to sing this magnificent work once again on 20th December in Galway Cathedral.

Joining us for this very special performance will be The National Sinfonia Orchestra with conductor Proinnsias O'Duinn, and our soloists:

  • Colette Boushell, soprano;
  • Paula Murrihy, alto;
  • Andrew Boushell, tenor and
  • Jeffrey Ledwidge, bass.

Our musical director, Audrey Corbett, has been working hard preparing the choir for what promises to be an evening to remember. Tickets, €20 and €15 concession will be on sale at Charlie Byrne's Bookshop early in December. We look forward to seeing all our friends and supporters in the Cathedral on the night!
