Christmas Concert Dates Announced
The Galway Baroque Singers will be performing two concerts this Christmas, entitled "I Heard A Voice From Heaven". The concerts take place on Saturday December 12th and Sunday December 13th, at 8:30PM. This year the choir will be performing in the Franciscan Abbey, which has recently undergone renovation.
We are thrilled that this year, we will be accompanied on organ by David Grealy. Tickets priced EUR13/10 are available from Charlie Byrne's Bookshop in Middle Street, tel 091 561766. Advance purchase is advised due to the size of this year's venue.

Choir to Perform Haydn Mass on RTE
The choir is honoured to be invited to perform Haydn's "Mass in Time of War" at Sunday Mass in Mount Argus, Dublin on Sunday, Sept. 13th. The mass will be televised live by RTE. Once again we will be accompanied by the RTE Concert Orchestra, under the baton of David Brophy.

Choir Barbeque In The RadissonThe choir are holding a barbeque in The Radisson Hotel, Galway, on Saturday evening, June 20th. Tickets are €25 per person and the more members, former members, patrons and friends who can make it, the better! |

June Concerts ProgrammeThe programme for the June performances with the RTE Concert Orchestra has been announced. With this year being the 250th anniversary of Joseph Haydn's death, his compositions feature strongly in the programme. Also featuring will be Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace. The programme in full: Haydn: Te Deum in C major (H. XXIII:c2) Haydn: Missa in Tempore Belli (H. XXII/9) Jenkins: The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace Performers: RTE Concert Orchestra (Proinnsias Ó Duinn, conductor) Galway Baroque Singers (Audrey Corbett, director) Lynda Lee (soprano) Chloe Hinton (mezzo soprano) Ross Scanlon (tenor) Jeffrey Ledwidge (bass) The concerts take place on June 11th in Leisureland and June 12th in the National Concert Hall.
